Superstar Rajinikanth is undeniably the biggest movie star in India whose legacy will rule the industry for centuries. He has played several cameo roles in the past in Hindi, Telugu and English films. The last time he was seen in a cameo appearance was in an extended role in director P Vasu's 'Kuselan', 14 years ago.

Today, we already informed you the breaking news that Thalaivar will be playing a pivotal cameo role in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's next directorial starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles. Touted to be a sports film set in the cricket backdrop, the movie produced by Lyca Productions is titled 'Lal Salaam', with music by Isai Puyal AR Rahman.

Now, the latest is that 'Lal Salaam' went on the floors with a muhurat pooja today (November 5), as we reported earlier. Rajinikanth, Aishwarya, Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth and producer Subaskaran were present at the event to inaugurate the movie. The photos and videos from the ceremony landed on the internet and are currently going viral among fans.

The technical team includes Vishnu Rangasamy as the cinematographer, Pravin Baaskar as the editor, Ramu Thangaraj as the art director, Poornima Ramasamy as the costume designer and Kabilan as the promotional designer. 'Lal Salaam' will have a grand theatrical release in 2023.
