Superstar Rajinikanth visits famous Muslim shrine with A.R. Rahman after Tirupati

Superstar Rajinikanth is on a spiritual tour of Andhra Pradesh and we reported earlier that he along with his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth had darshan at the Tirupati temple.  Later the 72 year old thespian joined his good friend A.R. Rahman and visited the Ameen Peer Dargah in Cuddapah.

Muslims at the Ameen Peer Dargah gave Rajinikanth a warm welcome by garlanding him as well as adorning him with the traditonal turban.  The video of the huge crowd gathered to witness the legend has gone viral on the internet.  Fans are celebrating the true spirtualism of the Thalaivar giving equal importance to Hindu and Muslim holy places on the same day.

Rajini and A.R. Rahman are currently collaborating on ‘Laal Salaam’ directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by Lyca Productions.  The film has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles with veteran actress Jeevitha making a comeback to Tamil cinema in a pivotal character.  Rajini is also in the verge of completing his current film ‘Jailer’ directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures.
