It was a disappointment for fans and movie buffs when it was announced that Superstar Rajinikanth's mega budget sci-fi flick '2.0' will not be released for Diwali 2017 as per the earlier schedule and it will be releasing only on January 25, 2018.

However now comes the news that fans will however get a '2.0' treat for the grand festival of lights. Raju Mahalingam, the Creative Head of Lyca Productions has revealed in a recent interview that they are planning to have a grand audio launch function in Dubai in the month of October around Diwali festival.

Moreover the makers have also planned for a first of its kind 'Meet and Greet' session in July 1st week in Chennai for 3D. '2.0' is a film that has been shot with a 3D camera and Lyca plans to introduce 3D facility in as many theaters as possible.. So this session will have the participation of theatre, 3D equipment manufacturers from glassmakers to projectors and bankers.

'2.0' is the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster 'Enthiran' directed by Shankar with A.R.Rahman's music.
