Superstar Rajnikanth has been on a high, with back to back hits, as his November 29 release, the scifi thriller 2.0 turned out to be a massive blockbuster worldwide, and now, he has given a perfect followup to 2.0 with another massive hit in Petta.

Even as Petta is rocking the box office worldwide with collections reaching 100 crores, the Superstar is all set to begin his next soon, and the speculations on the project are already running rife. This movie which will be his 166th, will be directed by AR Murugadoss who had last directed political entertainer Sarkar.

Now the latest buzz is that this movie will have Thalaivar donning the Khaki after Pandian. It has been said that this movie will feature Rajnikanth as a cop, and if this materializes, its gonna be a treat for die-hard fans of the actor, as he has rocked as a cop in movies like Moondru Mugam and Kodi Parakkuthu. Earlier Murugadoss had denied naming the movie as Naarkaali.
