The movie has turned out to be an ultimate treat for Superstar fans, as Karthik Subbaraj, a self proclaimed Thalaivar fanboy himself, has presented Rajnikanth in his most stylish avatar in recent times, and with plenty of goosebumps mass moments and multiple references to yesteryear classics of Rajni,Petta has struck a chord with the audience.

On the collections front also, Petta is rocking, as the movie took a great opening on day 1, and within just 2 days, has breached the $ 1 million mark at US Box office, and has become the 7th movie of Superstar to cross this mark, making him the Tamil actor with maximum $ 1 mn movies in US, and only next to Mahesh Babu who has 8 movies in $ 1 mn club among south actors.
