After the massive hit of the 2021 action drama Annaatthe, Superstar is back with his next project. The film will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Beast fame. Titled Jailer, the movie has already created a buzz among movie buffs. Now an exciting update about this movie has arrived in hot.

Reports state that makers are erecting a set for the film in Hyderabad's film city, and the shoot is most likely to commence in the second week of August this year. It is also notable that Rajinikanth has given a free hand to Nelson to decide on the cast and story on his own.

If sources are to be true, Jailer will see actors Shivarajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Sivakarthikeyan, and Ramya Krishnan playing crucial roles. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is in talks to play the female lead in jailer opposite Rajinikanth. The pair have previously shared the screen in the 2010 drama, Enthiran. An official announcement about the same is expected to arrive before the film's shooting goes on the floors.

Anirudh Ravichander is onboard the team as the music director, while Vijay Kartik Kannan will be cranking the lens for Rajinikanth's next.
