Director Tarun Gopi who debuted in Kollywood with the Vishal, Shriya Reddy, Reema Sen starrer superhit action entertainer Thimiru, and the Simbu starrer Kaalai, went on to act in movies like Mayandi Kudumbathar ans now he's all set to begin work on his next movie.

Titled Yaanai this action packed sentimental entertainer will go on floors on October 26, and will be shot in Chennai, Pattukottai, Pudhukottai and Dindigul. Yaanai will portray the power of women who have the strength of elephants, and will be family entertainer, said the director in an interview.

Yaanai will have Varalaxmi Sarathkumar playing the lead and will also have actor Antony, who played the lead in Lenin Bharathi’s Merku Thodarchi Malai as another lead. The team is in talks with Ilaiyaraaja to compose music.
