Even amidst chaos due to the lockdown, several Migrant workers from various States quarantined in a government school at Palsana in Rajasthan’s Sikar district gave back something to their quarantine place in an act of gratitude, as they painted the school building.

The Government Senior Secondary School located at Palsana became a temporary shelter for 54 daily wage earners from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, and several districts of Rajasthan. While they didn't have COVID-19 symptoms, the panchayat told them to finish a 14-day quarantine in the school.

Panchayat had arranged Food, essential items and medical assistance for the workers who were happy with what they were given and looking at the damaged walls, they decided to put in efforts to give back something to the school. They started to paint and repair the building, clean the compound, and plant saplings and impressed by their efforts, the Panchayat has decided to felicitate them when they leave after lockdown.
