The fourth in Indian language ‘Super Ranga’ (original is Kick in Telugu, Tillangadi in Tamil and Kick in Hindi) is really superb for lively performance, good moral values, comedy, action and exotic locations.

Producer K Manju seems to have not fixed any budget limit on this ‘Super Ranga’ – the technical extravaganza and super star Upendra who was ‘Super’ film hero in his direction is really supreme in this film ‘Super Ranga’. It is only an actor like Upendra who can carry this film because he has great strength in dialogue deliver, comedy and emotions he is equally good. It is double the ‘Paisa Vasool’ for Upendra fans!

‘Kick’ is needed in every stage of life and activities. It is in controlled way it is not harmful. If it is uncontrolled way then it is cinema only can delivery such super kicks! There is hardly anything to kick out from this 155 minutes and 20 seconds cinema. The A center audience may feel it slightly lengthy but for the B and C center audience it is a good supper.

Ranga alias Sri Ranga (Upendra) wants ‘Kick’ in every work. He has gone very serious on getting kick because he has a strong backgrounder. He is a looter and calls the cop a looser. He accepts challenges like how he gulps a glass of water. He comes in a few forms to fool the people and his lady love wants to see him as cop after hate and love saga.

There is a purpose behind Ranga activities to usurp crores of rupees. It is because of one kid he changes his attitude in life and goes on loot. For his disguise activities to loot the party funds of Rs.300 crores the cop who is chasing him vigorously goes silent. For loss of political party fund the cop is suspended and in his place Ranga comes and occupies.

It is spectacular treat from Upendra for his fans. His dialogue delivery, tricks, dancing ability, romantic moods and deep concern for the affected in the society has come out brilliantly in his performance.

Chand Ka Tukda is this Kriti Karbanda. In every angle she looks like angel. She has got a great role to perform. The costume selection for Kriti Karbanda is amazing. Even while screaming she looks beautiful. Priyanka Rao has a touch and go role.

Raghu Mukerjee has given his best. Avinash, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Kuri Pratap, Hema Chaudhary, Bullet Prakash extended tremendous support. Ashok Kashyap for the first time in ‘Rotography’ technique where in 13 Upendras are seen in ‘Dance Raja Dance….is a superb trick. The outdoor locations and long shots of Ashok Kashyap are extremely good.

Arjun Janya scoring music for the first time to Upendra film has given entertaining songs. Dance Rajaa…is outstanding. Ninna Nenapu Bande…is melodious. Chombo Chombu….song is timely.

It is not just ‘Super Ranga’ but ‘Superb Ranga’! Worth watching for entertainment and touching sentiments in the film!

Score - 7.5/10
