Super
Nagarjuna is one actor in Tollywood who is in sync with what is happening in other film world.
Understanding that Telugu films are mired in too much maudlin sentimental dramas, he has been, from time to time, coming with some modern-world themes in his film. His last few films have tried to speak the 'global emotion'.
And his masala films also carry a gritty, stylized feel to them. Mass, his last released film, was a good example of that.
Now Super is expected to be one of the most 'trendily' made film in Telugu. Nags, who is also producing the film, has gone out of the way in giving a urban chic feel to the movie.
The movie is one of the costliest in recent times. Nags has imported special bikes and also brought in technicians from Australia to make the film have that authentic look.
Nags and director Puri Jagannath are both reluctant talk about the film's story. They just say that the film is not a remake of Dhoom. "I am not fool to remake it," says Nags scotching the speculations on it.
Ayesha Takia, the Mumbai gal, is an absolute attraction. So is Anushka Shetty. The two girls bring in style acceptable to modern-day youths.
Sandeep Chowtha's music too is on those lines. Brought specially from Bollywood, Sandeep has used some 'universal music' to add luster to the movie.
"Sandeep has done amazing job. Sandeep gives melodious tunes even while keeping all that trendy beats and rhythms," Nag says. The famous Hotel California song is being used in the film.
"Apart from music, action sequences would be highlight points of the film other than anything else. When I say action sequences, it does not mean gory scenes like slashing heads', what we attempted in this film are bike chases, which are risky," he adds.
Major part of the film has been shot in Mumbai, Mauritius and Goa.
The film is being released in the third week of June and the music in the last week of May.
