New sexually transmitted bacteria does not respond to antibiotics

Gonorrhea is a bacterial infection that is sexually transmitted and affects both men and women who indulge in unsafe sex.  Usually the infection is treated with antibiotics and is cured in majority of cases.  However a UK man who was infected during a visit to South East Asia could not get relief as the bacteria is unaffected by all types of antibiotics.

Scientists in the UK are of the opinion that it is a "Super Gonorrhea" which are totally antibiotic resistant and is already affecting people in Japan.  They feel that the bugs are getting smarter and have urged pharmaceutical companies to produce better antibiotics to combat this major threat.
