The Tata IPL 2022 witnessed super exciting matches this year with two new teams. Meanwhile, the existing sides that dominated the tournament all these years have struggled a bit this year. Sunrisers Hyderabad has had many ups and downs this season.
Now, the latest is SRH captain and New Zealand cricketer Kane Williamson won't take part in the last league match. The team's captain Kane Williamson has had a forgettable stint this season. He has made only 216 runs in 13 innings at a strike rate of 93.50, which is one of the worst among the top-order batters with a minimum of 100 runs.
Today, Sunrisers officially announced that Kane Williamson will miss the final game of SRH against Punjab Kings as he flew back to New Zealand for the birth of his second child. It is being said that Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Nicholas Pooran might take the skipper seat in the absence of Kane. Tata IPL 2022's last league fixture will be SRH vs PBKS happening on May 22 at the Wankhede Stadium.
The one-time champions have formed an impenetrable pace attack this year but struggled to find a reliable batting order despite the fact that their middle-order batters have found their form. SRH has won only 6 matches out of 13 and they must win against PBKS to stay in the playoff race while the last fixture is a must-win for PBKS too.
