It was recently reported that that Sunny Deol plays a double role in 'Bhaiyaaji Superhit' which is all set to go on floors. While he is playing a UP based don in one role, the other features him as a wannabe Punjabi actor from Canada. However it has just been revealed that this isn't exactly how the first draft of the script looked like and the double role part actually came in as an after thought.
"See, I was going through a lot of story ideas before pitching the right one to Sunny," says writer-director Neeraj Pathak who has earlier made critically acclaimed 'Right Yaaa Wrong' with the actor, "When I sounded the idea of 'Bhaiyaaji Superhit' to him, he liked it. To begin with though, it was a story about only one character and there was no double role angle to it. Then on further brainstorming we thought that why don't we actually go ahead and make this a double role."
Sunny too was mighty excited about the idea since 'Bhaiyaaji Superhit' would be for the first time ever in his three decade career that he would be playing a double role. "Yes, he really liked this further development as well and asked me to develop it further. This is a completely different genre and setting for him as well as me. Both of us are moving out of our comfort zone," says Neeraj.
With Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor as the other leads and Mithun Chakraborty as well as Prakash Raj in the film, 'Bhaiyaaji Superhit' is slated for release early next year.
