Sunny Deol draws flak for outsourcing work to assistant!

Actor-turned-politician Sunny Deol has been criticized for appointing a representative to take care of important issues in his constituency.  The Bollywoodian was elected as the MP of Gurdaspur in Punjab on a BJP ticket in May.

“I appoint Gurpreet Palheri as my representative to attend meetings and follow important matters pertaining to my parliamentary constituency with concerned authorities,” Deol said.

Following this, the Congress party has slammed Deol for outsourcing his work to an assistant.  “Sunny Deol has proven that he was never concerned about Gurdaspur.  This is a betrayal to the people.  Gurdaspur trusted and elected you, not your representative.  You have shamed your position but then again, this was expected from the BJP,” the party said.  

Lawyer and political analyst Prashant Bhushan lashed out at Sunny Deol, saying, “Celebrities brought in to contest elections by parties just before elections to cash in on their celeb status are never interested in Public issues & do nothing useful in public life. A lesson for us.”
