Now Bobby has revived his career with powerful performances on various OTT platforms and it looks like Sunny is gearing up for his second innings as well. His film with Ameesha Patel, titled 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' is an iconic love story of our country. The film has countless memorable scenes and dialogues which quoted in various contexts even today.

Now according to latest reports by Mid Day there are plans of a sequel going on in director Anil Sharma's mind. A source revealed, "The makers of Gadar have figured out the plot points and are working on a script. While Sunny and Ameesha Patel will be a part of the story, the director’s son Utkarsh, who essayed the role of their son Jeeta in the original, will play a pivotal part. The young actor had forayed into Bollywood in 2018 with Genius.”

Filmmaker himself said, "Talks about a sequel are on, but I will officially confirm at the right time. At the moment, things are at a nascent stage.” Anil is currently indulged in the pre-production of 'Apne 2' which bring together three generations of Deol family on screen.
