It's known that N Shankar is going to direct Sunil in the remake of '2 Countries', the Malayalam hit. The film will be launched in the presence of cine and political biggies on Nov 7.

To be produced by N Shankar on Mahalakshmi Art Productions, the film has Gopi Sundar composing the music. "I liked it when I watched the Malayalam original. I felt Sunil would be apt for the lead role. '2 Countries' collected Rs. 55 cr and the comedy entertainer packs in a range of emotions. It's a universal movie. Sridhar Seepana is the dialogue-writer. Gopi Sundar, who composed music for the original, has been roped in. I hope this film will give me and Sunil good break in a long time. The regular shoot will commence on Nov 7 itself. Seventy per cent of the film will be shot in the US. It's a delicate subject transpiring between two countries. We have bettered the script to suit our nativity."
