Famous Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, who recently appeared in Rajinikanth's Darbar, directed by AR Murugadoss, has opened up about his daughter Athiya Shetty's relationship with rumoured boyfriend and Indian cricketer KL Rahul.

Speculations of KL Rahul dating Athiya Shetty started doing the rounds when the two of them were spotted together on multiple occasions last year, most recently in England. Suniel Shetty has now confirmed that his daughter is indeed in England but that she was with her brother Ahan Shetty. The actor also said that KL Rahul and Athiya were a good-looking couple. "Yes, she is in England, but she is with Ahan. The brother-sister duo went there for a holiday. Rest you may check with them," he was quoted as saying by a news agency.

Speaking about the duo being the brand ambassadors of an eyewear brand, Suniel Shetty added, "As far as the ad goes I mean it is an international brand and they chose to take the two of them as ambassadors. I think they look brilliant together. They are a good-looking couple, na? So, it totally works from a brand perspective. And I must say, they look good together, well, in the ad."

It was reported last year that Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul had met through a common friend and instantly hit it off. And apparently, they have been dating since February 2019. The couple also went on a vacation for the 2020 New Years' to Thailand along with their friends.
