Recently, certain rumours surfaced that 'Gully Rowdy' would be heading for a direct OTT release by skipping theatres. Sundeep Kishan on Thursday took to Twitter to clarify that the entertainer will release only in theatres first.

Describing 'Gully Rowdy' as a fun masala entertainer meant for the theatres, the 'A1 Express' actor added that these are uncertain times but as a team, they have decided to stand by the theatre owners. 

He affirmed that the team of the team is waiting for the right release date. The 'Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene' actor thanked writer-producer Kona Venkat for being supportive and gutsy. Venkat said that the film will come soon. "It's time to celebrate cinema," he added.

Starring Rajendra Prasad and Bobby Simha in key roles, it features Neha Shetty as the heroine. Mime Gopi, Posani, Vennela Kishore and Viva Harsha have other roles. Chowrastha Ram and Sai Kartheek are composing the music. 

Sundeep Kishan recently teamed up with director VI Anand for a supernatural fantasy. As a producer, he is bankrolling 'Vivaha Bhojanambu', which stars comedian Satya in the lead.
