Telugu actor Sundeep Kishan has starred in several Tamil movies like Yaaruda Mahesh, Maanagaram and Maayavan, and of these, Maanagaram was a successful outing for the young actor. He is now all set to return to Tamil with the upcoming movie Kannaadi.

Kannaadi is directed by Caarthick Raju who had previously directed two movies starring Attakathi Dinesh, Thirudan Police and Ulkuthu which were received well by critics. Kannaadi is a supernatural thriller, that also stars debutant Anya Singh and Karunakaran in key roles.

Earlier Kannaadi, which is a bilingual, was supposed to release on July 12, but only the Telugu version released and has opened to good reviews. It has been revealed that the Tamil version Kannaadi has now been censored U/A, and the director has said that 40% of the Tamil version has been changed from Telugu version. Kannadi is expected to release on July 26.
