Sundar C is known for his minimum guarantee films and has a very good track record of always making a sizeable profit for his producers. His latest film 'Action' releasing on November 15th is a departure from his comedy films and is an out and out action thriller as the title suggests. In his recent interview, Sundar C has slammed new directors who make films with big heroes of only trying to please them and spend exorbitant amounts and making losses for the producers.
Sundar C has stated that nowadays cinema is in a mess because it is the heroes who select their directors and to show the gratitude the filmmakers show grandeur in the shots by employing two thousand extra actors to stand behind him unnecessarily. He has also added that those directors also waste time and money by just canning a single shot throughout the day. The 'Kalakalappu' director lamented that the producers are suffering not only losses but also go through hell as they shell out huge money just so that the directors can sing the praises of the hero, in songs and scenes while there is no story to engage the audiences. It is, however, unknown which director, movie, her and producer Sundar C is referring to and it's very difficult even to guess and we truly mean it.
Meanwhile Sundar C's 'Action' starring Vishal and Tamannaah with a music score by Hip Hop Tamizha and produced by Trident Arts Ravindran is hitting the screens in the maximum number of screens next Friday.
