Before two years, director Sundar C had directed the movie Kalakalappu 2, the namesake sequel to his superhit movie Kalakalappu, and this sequel starring Jiiva, Jai, Catherine Tresa, Nikki Galrani and Shiva was one of the biggest hits of the year.

Currently, after his last release Action starring Vishal, Sundar C is directing the third installment in his horror comedy series Aranmanai, Aranmanai 3 starring Arya, Raashi khanna and Andrea Jeremiah, and now has plans to start another project.

Sundar C will next direct a comedy entertainer which will be produced by his home banner Avni Cinemax and will have his Kalakalappu 2 hero Jai in lead role and Sundar C will also be seen playing an important role in this movie.
