Third wave of the pandemic has started to disrupt our lives after a brief state of normalcy. Several parts of the country have seen surge in the number of infected cases and multiple Bollywood stars have also contracted the virus in recent days. 'The Kapil Sharma Show' star Sumona Chakravarti and filmmaker Ekta Kapoor recently confirmed being tested Covid-19 positive.

Sumona took to her Instagram stories to announce, “I have tested positive for covid with moderate symptoms. Quarantined at home. Would request anyone who has come in contact with me in the last week to please get yourself tested. Thank you."

Ekta Kapoor, on the other hand, posted, "Despite taking all the precautions, I have tested Covid positive. I am fine and I request everyone who has come in contact with me to please test themselves.”

Apart from these two, John Abraham, his wife Priya Runchal, Prem Chopra and few other stars have contracted the virus lately.
