Noted director Kavitha Lankesh first English language children cinema ‘Summer Holidays’ is all set for release. Kannada version will be exhibited inside the state and for remaining parts English version of this film will be marketed through an agency in Mumbai. It is Esha Lankesh Production debut in business of entertainment.
‘Summer Holidays’ in Kavitha Lankesh direction has a few scenes of recently shot dead Gauri Lankesh. Gauri has acted as an activist in this film and sound sync was used for dubbing of her dialogues.
Kavitha adjusting from choked voice remembering her elder sister says two other actors are Esha her daughter and Samarjith her younger brother Indrajith Lankesh son part of this film.
For collecting data for the film Kavitha Lankesh held workshop on what exactly the teenage boys and girls do in the summer holidays. Based on this study report she has given natural feel to the film. She has picked main actors of that age group to bring in crush, excitement and adventure so on. The technology of today is not shown as an obstacle. The significance of it is dealt says Kavitha. Remembering one of the occasions of her daughter Esha and Samarjith going to forest area with I Pad and coming up with a documentary was surprising factor she adds.
The poster and trailer of this Kannada and English children film was screened on Monday on the eve of Children Day at SRV Theatre in Malleswaram. Prakash Rai and Suman Nagarkar are also in the cast. The film is set for December month release.
A cute daughter of Kavitha Lankesh, Esha says she had seen the shooting done for her mother films. Coming before the camera in her mother direction was something exciting. She plays Jessie and anyone saying you are timid she gets angry. Sonia and Ansh were at the media meet of the film ‘Summer Holidays’. AC Mahender has done cinematography; Rohit Gandhi worked on three scorings for this film.
