Akkineni Sumanth has signed up a crime-thriller. The film was launched on Friday at the Film Nagar Temple. Debutante Anil Srikantham will wield the megaphone.

To be jointly produced by Aluri Sambasiva Reddy and Gangapatnam Sridhar, the film will be made on Virat Film Makers and Sri Vignesh Karthick. "This film will go down as one of the most versatile ones in Sumanth's career. A crime-thriller, every scene is going to be edgy. The picturization will start from the first week of November. It will be shot in Hyderabad, Vizag, Araku and Kerala," the makers say.

Anju Kurian is the heroine. Murali Sharma and Sathyam Rajesh will be seen in other key roles. Music is by Sri Charan. Dialogues are by Chandrasekhar. The cinematography is by Balreddy.
