After 'Malli Raava', Sumanth is back with 'Subrahmanyapuram'.  The film was launched today in Hyderabad.  Produced by Dheeraj Boggaram and Beeram Sudhakar Reddy, the film will be directed by Santosh Jagarlapudi.  Eesha Rebba is the heroine.

The first clap was given by Naga Chaitanya.  Director Prashant Varma of 'AWE' fame switched the camera on.  Chandoo Mondeti directed the first shot.  The film's logo was released by Member of Parliament JC Diwakar Reddy, Dr. Rajasekahr and Jeevitha.

Speaking on the occasion, Sumanth said, "I usually don't like hungama during the launch of my films.  I didn't even realized that 'Subrahmanyapuram' is my 25th film until the producers told me.  Santosh narrated to me the story for 2.5 hours.  I could see the whole film in those 2.5 hours.  I am always scared to do films of this sort.  Mystery thriller is the film's genre. I am trying it for the first time.  The narration had me on the edge of my seat."

Eesha Rebbe said that she is quite happy to be teaming up with Sumanth for the thriller.  

Dheeraj Boggaram, one of the producers, said, "I am very happy with the cooperation that Sudhakar Reddy is extending us."

Director Santosh Jagarlapudi said, "This is my first film.  I have made three short-films in the past.  They were big hits.  The producers have given me this opportunity after witnessing the reception to those short-films.  Our film will go on the floors from the third week of April."

Sekhar Chandra is the film's music director.  "Music plays a key role in this genre.  Sumanth is the first hero who I met in the film industry.  I am very happy to be working with him," he said.

The cinematography is by RK Prathap.  Editing is by Karthika Srinivas.  Art direction is by Lakshmi Sindhuja Granthi.  Costume designing is by Suma Tripurana.
