Sumanth signs to do a gangster comedy

After much contemplation, Sumanth has finally signed to do a new film. This one is going to be an adaptation of the Malayalam film ‘Padayottam’. A gangster comedy, the official remake will be directed by Vinu Yagna.

Newcomer Aima will romance the 'Malli Raava' actor. To be shot from December 15, the untitled flick will be jointly produced by Tammineni Janardhan Rao and Sharma Chukka of East India Talkies and Manthra Entertainments.

The rest of the cast and crew details will be announced soon. Gangster comedies have a good shelf life, especially if the comedy scenes click. One hopes Sumant is definitely in for something different this time around.
