Famous female director marries longtime lover in simple ceremony

The coronavirus lockdown has weighed heavily on the common people by not only affecting livelihood but also preventing intimate ceremonies from happening with any grandeur.  Critically acclaimed Kannada filmmaker Sumana Kittur got married to her longtime lover photographer Srinivas in a simple ceremony in Pondicherry.

Only family members took part in the wedding ceremony of Sumana and Srinivas though they had planned their big day to happen in a temple in Shimoga.  The couple is expected to shift base to Bengaluru once the lockdown ends.

Sumana Kittur has so far directed socially relevant films such as Slum Bala, Kiriyurina Gayyaligalu and Edegarika.
