Senior actor Suman, who is one of the most acclaimed artists in South Indian cinema, is donning a suave avatar these days. He has grown a new style of beard for his character in an upcoming Tamil-language movie. Directed by JD Jerry, the film is currently being shot in Ukraine.

Suman has been in the news from time to time. In the run up to the MAA elections, he opined that it's meaningless to differentiate an actor on the basis of his origins. "As far as I am concerned, I feel every Indian has to be seen as a localite. If doctors and farmers have regional feelings, would we be alive and would we get to eat food? The same goes for all fields," Suman told reporters, commenting on the issue of Prakash Raj so-called non-local identity.
