A prolific singer in Karnataka Suma Shastry was in emotional outbreak on Tuesday evening at ‘Melobba Mayavi’ media briefing at Chamundesware Studio. Suma Shastry was remembering her husband LN Shastry who passed away recently.

‘My husband should not birth again in Karnataka’. He should taken birth up north and come to Karnataka. He has not completed his music journey stated Suma Shastry. The frustration is because of outside talent getting more prominence in Karnataka. The Kannada singers are not given prominence. Probably because of this my husband worried a lot and got cancer in his life mentioned Suma Shastry.

Suma Shastry is finishing the task of her husband for ‘Melobba Mayavi’ of Naveen Krishna debut direction. She is doing the background score for the film. On the particular song ‘Kalla Kolala Gopala…. She said it was like last song of his journey with words like ‘Ninthe Hoyithe Jeeva Gaana….

My husband LN Shastry passed away without any notice. It was sudden discovery of last stage of cancer. With water loaded in the stomach he came to the Archana Studio to given final recording of ‘Kalla Kalala Gopala…a high pitch song added Suma Shastry.
