Singer Shadab Faridi, who rendered the title track of Salman Khan-starrer 'Sultan', has now crossed borders with his talent by crooning a song in a Pakistani film titled 'Janaan'.

This is the first time that Faridi has crooned a number for a Pakistani film. The track has the lyrics "Kar lo sab mil ke shor sharaba".

"I am very excited to be part of this film tilted 'Janaan'. I got to know about this from composer Shamir Tandon who recommended my name for the song. So, I am very thankful to him," Faridi said in a statement.

"Though people of Pakistan have heard me before in TV shows like 'Junoon' and 'Music Ka Maha Muqabala', but singing in a film over there is special. I have immense respect for singers like Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan ... They are all legends. I also like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan a lot. He has a soulful voice."

Talking about the difference between the two countries, Faridi said: "There should not be any barrier when it comes to art and culture."

Faridi is also happy with the positive response to his song in 'Sultan'. He says: "When your song is liked by the audience, that's the best gift a singer can get."
