Sukumar’s pan-India film with ‘The Kashmir Files’ director and Abhishek Agarwal

Even as ‘Pushpa 2’ is yet to commence its shoot, Sukumar is ready with a new project. The ‘Rangasthalam’ director has calmly finalized a “unifying” film with Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and producer Abhishek Agarwal of Abhishek Agarwal Arts.

“Uniting India with cinema. Details soon. Guess? Sukumar (Director, #Pushpa) +Abhishek Agrawal (Producer, #TheKashmirFiles) + Yours Truly (#TheKashmirFiles),” said director Vivek Agnihotri, whose ‘The Kashmir Files’ is one of the biggest hits ever.

Besides producing ‘The Kashmir Files’ this year, Agarwal has minted money with Nikhil Siddhartha’s ‘Karthikeya 2’ in a humongous way. So, the Sukumar-Agarwal-Agnihotri union has become a talking point in the Indian film industry.

A lot is going to be rumoured about this project. For Sukumar, who has got accolades from the likes of Rajkumar Hirani, this is a big step in the right direction. Agnihotri, too, can expect to expand his footprint down South by making a relevant and topical film. Are we seeing a union between masala and politics?
