Two top actors of South Indian cinema Ananthnag and Suhasini – once popular pair back again in ‘Yaana’ Kannada cinema of director Vijayalakshmi Singh. This film is a debut of three daughters of star couple Vijayalakshmi Singh and Jai Jagadish.

Ananthnag and Suhasini pair acted in quite a few Kannada films like Hosa Neeru, Eradane Madhuve, Maththondu Maduve, Stumble etc. It was ‘Hosa Neeru’ in 1986 got good mileage for this pair.

Vijayalakshmi Singh director from the family of Shanker Singh while writing the script for the film kept this pair in her mind. In the Ananthnag and Suhasini pair Vybhavi one of the three heroines of the film is also appearing.

Suhasini is close family member of Vijayalakshmi Singh. In quite a few films of Vijayalakshmi Singh elder brother SV Rajendra Singh Babu direction Suhasini acted with Dr Vishnuvardhana. When Vijayalakshmi Singh took up direction from ‘E Bandhana’, Suhasini was inquiring on when she is going to give an opportunity. ‘Yaana’ is a joint venture of Harish Sherigar of Acme Movies, Sharmila Sherigar, Jai Jagadish, Vaibhavi, Vainidi and Vaisiri (three heroines of the film). Simple Suni and BA Madhu penned dialogues. Joshuva Sridhar music, Karm Chawla cinematography add to the technical list.

Chakravarthi, Sumukha and Abhishekh are counterparts to Vybhavi, Vainidi and Vaisiri in the film. Sadhu Kokila, Rangayana Raghu, Chikkanna, Ramakrishna, Sunder Raj, Sunder, Veena Sunder, MN Lakshmi Devi and others are in the cast.
