Nandan, son of Mani Ratnam and Suhasini, was robbed in Italy's Belluno on Sunday when he was trying to reach an airport. Taking to Twitter, the mother sought help from those in the city, requesting them to reach out to Nandan in the dire situation.
“SOS anyone near Venice airport? Can you help our son who was robbed in Belluno? He needs to reach airport. Please help,” she tweeted.
However, to her horror, Suhasini realized that oh-so-many calls from India went to her son's mobile. Obviously, it was counter-productive.
"Ppl who can`t help in Venice, pls don`t call on the number I posted earlier, as you drain out his battery and he will lose contact," she said.
Everything finally went well. “Help is on the way for our son. So those from Twitter who offered help. Thank you. He`s fine now," a happy Suhasini tweeted hours later.
