A fake account claiming to be of the legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam has been created by an anonymous person on Twitter. Suhasini, the yesteryear actress and Mani's wife, has flagged it and said that it doesn't belong to the filmmaker.

"There is a person claiming to be @Dir_ ManiRatnam has tweeted that director ManiRatnam is starting his Twitter account today. It is false. He’s an impersonator. Please be aware and spread the word around. Thank you," Suhasini wrote on Twitter.

Mani Ratnam is currently doing 'Ponniyan Selvan'. Earlier this year, it was shot at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, where Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, Sarathkumar, Parthiban and Nizhalgal Ravi among others shot. Vikram was supposed to shoot in April and May but the pandemic undid the plans. Vikram, Sobhita Dhulipala and others are part of the cast.

The plan was to complete the film by August this year. It is said that the ace director has visualized a cliff-hanger climax in the first part that will make audiences want to watch the second and without much delay he wants to oblige them quickly. Music and cinematography are by AR Rahman and Ravi Varman, respectively.
