Suhana Khan, to be seen in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies next, had said how she depends on her parents, actor Shah Rukh Khan and producer-interior designer Gauri Khan, more than anything else and called them her 'guiding source.' Suhana was quoted talking about the sense of nervousness that she felt during the first day at the set.
She explained the difference between a Netflix film shoot and an old-style one, pointing towards a bigger crew and lighting galore, including hair and makeup people all around, adding chaos to everything. She later shared how she initially felt small when she looked around but then realized everyone was working towards making the director happy.
Speaking about her parents, Suhana said, "I would not say they are my critics, but yes, the biggest support is, of course, from them. My whole family believes in supporting and helping each other." She quirkily added how she asks her mom if she looks okay or not while getting ready for an event, giving thought to their supportive role too.
Suhana steps into the shoes of Veronica from the much-loved American comics with a Netflix twist in it. The Archies also marks acting debuts for Khushi Kapoor (Betty), daughter of late star Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda (Archie), grandson of Amitabh Bachchan.
The cast includes Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina, amongst others. Set in the 1960s, the film attempts to unravel topics like friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak, and rebellion through tales told by some classic characters around Riverdale town. The Archies will stream on Netflix starting December 7th.
