Even before the start of Super star Rajinikanth`s Lingaa`, it was heavily speculated that actor Sudheep of Naan Ee` fame will be playing the role of lead baddie in the K.S.Ravikumar directorial. Whoever the actor refused to be part of the film later and the news was laid to rest.

However, now there seems to be a sudden turn of events and Sudheep is sharing screen space with the Superstar as per sources close to the film`s unit. Sources aver that Sudheep has started shooting for Lingaa` in its final schedule that is currently happening in Shimoga. Though there are no specific details about the character played by Sudheep in the film they say that it will be a vital role that can be played only by an actor having Sudheep`s expertise. It is to be noted that renowned Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu is playing the lead baddie role in the film.

Ravikumar is doing his next film with Sudheep in Kannada and it should be easier for the director to have Sudheep on board for Lingaa`. It is worth remembering that Sudheep had mentioned in an earlier interview that it was his dream to share screen space with Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth seems to be mightily impressed by Sudheeps acting skills and they reportedly keep bonding well. Rajini keeps appreciating Sudheep for his performance in Naan Ee` and also invited him to visit his Poes Garden home.

Lingaa` that stars Anushka and Sonakshi Sinhaa as Rajini`s heroines is being produced by Rockline Venkatesh on a grand scale. In the Shimoga schedule around 3,000 people are said to be taking part in the shoot and there are at least 100 staff to cook food for the entire crew. Makeshift tents for the cooks could be noticed near the spot.
