We all know Suriya's Soorarai Pottru took home five National awards this year and is still making the right noises in all the right places. The director, the lady lion Sudha Kongara who brought this extraordinary script to life has recently revealed in an interview about Suriya and his contribution to the movie.

In an exclusive interview with Indiaglitz Sudha revealed that she gave the 40-page one-liner to Suriya and he called her one evening and said, "This is a story which needs to be told to the world and I will produce it".

Sudha said that the duo has the same vision and that Suriya wanted her to bring the film to life in her own way and did not want anyone to comment or restrict her from doing it her way. She also revealed that this was the main reason why Suriya vouched to produce the film.
