Acclaimed director Sudha Kongara who made ‘Soorarai Pottru’ a biopic on the life of aviation pioneer G.R. Gopinath is said to be planning for another biopic. It is reported that she will be capturing the life of Ratan Tata the Chairman Emeritus of the world renowned Tata Sons and Tata Group of companies.
Sudha is currently directing the Hindi version of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ with Akshay Kumar replacing Suriya in the lead role. It has already been reported that Sudha will next be making films with Suriya and STR. Now coming to the Ratan Tata biopic it is said that talks are on with Abhishek Bachchan to play the lead role.
Abhishek has already portrayed the role of Dhirubhai Ambani the late founder of the Reliance Group of Companies in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Guru’ costarring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan that released in the year 2007.
It is still unclear if this project will take off after the already announced Suriya-Sudha Kongara project that is planned to go on floors in 2023. Sudha and Hombale Films have also joined hands for a social issue based film that is likely to have STR in the lead. Lets wait and watch how these exciting films develop in the coming months.
