Sudha Kongara and R. Madhavan combined to deliver 'Irudhi Suttru' in 2016 hailed as one of the best ever Tamil movies. The duo became friends on the sets of Mani Ratnam's 'Aayudha Ezhuthu' costarring Suriya and Madhavan in which Sudha worked as an assistant director.

Sudha apparently hosted a special lunch for Madhavan at her Chennai residence and she shared pics of the same. The ace filmmaker revealed the mouth watering dishes that were served "Two decades of friendship with vankai annam, vadiyalu, podi, sambhar, Vatha kozhambu, thayir sadham , pendalam pachchadi and best dessert ever Ratnagiri Alfonso mangoes courtesy Maddy!"

Madhavan is currently in Chennai to shoot for 'The Test' costarring Nayanthara, Siddharth and Kaali Venkat. Sashikanth makes his directorial debut with this film and incidentally he was the one who produced 'Irudhi Suttru' as well.

Sudha Kongara sufferred a fracture in her hand while shooting the Hindi version of her critically acclaimed blockbuster hit 'Soorarai Pottru'. The good news is that she is back to normal and it will be interesting to see whether she will start her next with Suriya as announced earlier or she will do a quickie before that.
