Vijayakanth is a man in a hurry these days. He has several things up his sleeve --- his impending political plunge, his responsibilities as the head of the Nadigar Sangam, and of course, his acting career.
He doesn't want to leave anything incomplete and hence is going full throttle with all the three.
So, following the completion of his Perarasu, Captain Vijayakanth has got down to work for Sudesi, his home production.
Quite typical to Vijayakanth, Sudesi will be an action-packed movie and will be directed a debutant, Jeppi AY.
The film has generated huge expectations. For one, it is going to coincide with his political entry. And with a name that is laced with political over tones, the curiosity value is that much higher.
According to the director,'the movie is about a youth who comes from a remote village to the city and is hit in the face by the venality and corruption in the system. He is unable to tolerate the atrocities in the town decides to put an end to them.'
It is a role that is straight up Vijayakanth's alley. He is tailor-made for such characters.
Ashima, who played opposite Vijayakanth in Ramana is cast as his ladylove in the movie.
A host of villains are in the cast while veteran M N Nambiar also plays an important cast in the movie.
The shooting for the movie is on and is expected for release this January.
