After Linga` with Tamil super star Rajanikanth and Kannada producer Rockline Venkatesh, KS Ravikumar is back in a full length Kannada feature film with Kichcha Sudeep who is riding high southern market today. Old horse Soorappa Babu returns to cinema production after a long exile.

The film is tentatively titled as Kotigobba`. The same title Soorappa Babu (MB Babu) made in 2001 with Dr Vishnuvardhana and Priyanka Upendra - a remake of 1995 Baasha` of Rajanikanth. Like how Vishnuvardhana` title was kept for Kichcha Sudeep cinema, a title of Dr Vishnuvardhana film is now picked after 14 years. The same producer selecting the title is coincidence.

Soorappa Babu Kotigobba` was a blockbuster. After that he had bad luck following till Prithvi`. Bandhu Balaga, Kadamba, Jyeshta and Dashamukha fared badly in the box office.

At a temple in Malleswaram the film muhurut of Soorappa Babu was attended by Kichcha Sudeep, Smt Saroja Sanjeev and Sri Sarovar Sanjeev parents of Kichcha Sudeep, Rockline Venkatesh, Munirathna Naidu, Anandappa, KS Ravikumar and others.
