Kannada actor Sudeep has been a well known actor across all south languages and has acted in several Hindi movies as well. The actor is well known among Tamil audience for his acting as a villain in movies like SS Rajamouli's Naan Ee and also in Vijay's Puli.

Having acted last in Tamil in the KS Ravikumar directed bilingual movie Mudinja Ivana Pudi, Sudeep is all set to return to Tamil with his next multilingual movie Pailwaan, which is directed by debutant Krishna who was a cinematographer earlier, and the release date of this movie has been locked.

Pailwaan will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada on September 12, and the Tamil version has been titled Bayilwan. Sudeep has reportedly dubbed in Tamil himself, and the movie also stars Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty and Aakanksha Singh.
