Former central minister Sudarsana Natchiappan had lashed out at the Congress party candidate for Sivagangai Karthi Chidambaram before few days. But now, things are back to normal in the Congress camp, as the ex minister had a change of mind and has struck a peace deal with Karthi for elections.
After the announcement of Karthi Chidambaram as Congress party's candidate for Sivagangai, former union minister Sudarsana Nacthiappan from the same party had expressed his displeasure over his selection, and had said that it will be a shocker even for people to see Karthi Chidambaram as the candidate. Chidambaram's family has not did any good to the constituency and hence they are hated by the people of the constituency, said the minister.
This remark of Sudarsana Natchiappan had shocked not just Congress but also the alliance parties like DMK. Following this a meeting was convened by the Congress committee's TN leader KS Azhagiri who had explained it was not right on Sudarsana Natchiappan's part to criticize the party decision and said that Karthi was a deserving candidate and that it was a right decision, following which he met Karthi at Karaikudi and extended his support, and also informed media that since there was a change needed in the centre, he will work together with Karthi.
