Success only in words

Somebody has to explain with queer and bizarre phenomenon of success meets. No sooner a film is released than its cast and crew call up journalists and say how nice and full off fun was working in such an interesting venture.

The producer chips in to say that the collections so far have been very good. If somebody points that he didn't see much crowd the other day in Hyderabad, but the producer in to say that the B and C centres (rural markets or anything away from the cities) have indeed shown very good response.

It has become a charade of sorts. In fact there has been a legion of films that have been classified hit or average hits. But most of them have not got the desired earning for the producers concerned. The likes of Arjun, Sye, Pandhem are good example from the recent past.

In the last one week alone, we have had success meets of Avunanna Kadhanna and and SadaMee Sevalo.

At least in the former case, the collections have been encouraging. But the latter is just about limping. But the talk at the function was one full of positive adjectives. Somebody needs to tell the organizers of such meets ---mere talk of success does not get success.
