Subbu, son of veteran producer Panchu Arunachalam, ventured to production with Mayakkannadi. The movie, which had Cheran playing the lead role, did not do well at the box office. But producer Subbu has not lost his heart. He is confident of making amends with his next venture.

Subbu has dubbed for Suman in Sivaji. The young producer was urged by Shankar to dub for Suman, who plays Adhiseshan, a baddie in Sivaji.

Subbu says, “It was a privilege for me to be part of Sivaji, a mega film featuring Rajnikanth. My father had a long association with Rajnikanth and I grew up watching his movies. Being part of his movie is a great joy for me”.

Asked whether he would take up dubbing as career option, Subbu said that he has not made up his mind on it.
