Stupendous welcome to Ambi

The return of Union Minister of State for information and broadcasting Ambarish after taking over the office in New Delhi has given him a stupendous welcome here on a rainy day in Bangalore on Monday. The procession for film star turned politician now a minister in the union cabinet was arranged from Bangalore airport. Nearly 1.5 lakh people gathered from various places to receive Ambarish and hear to his speech at Palace Grounds in the evening. Rebel Star Ambarish Abhimanigala Sangha and Karnataka Pradesh Congress organized the felicitation to Ambarish. Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji graced the occasion. Ambarish cinema colleagues Dr.Vishnuvardhana, Ravichandran, Rockline Venkatesh, Sunder Raj were seen on the dais that was filled with political personalities from Congress.

Addressing the mammoth attendance Ambarish said that he would see that no black spot comes in his career as minister of union cabinet. 'I would not only function as 'Karnatakadha Gandu' but 'Indyadha Gandu' he promised for the cheerful crowd that waited from morning 11 am to hear his speech. I wanted Dr.Rajkumar and my parents to be on this occasion. Whenever I met Dr.Rajkumar when he was living one question he used to ask was when I would become the minister. That day has come but my pet 'Annavru' – Dr.Rajkumar is not with us today Ambarish became quite emotional. I come from 'Shudra' community the most neglected one in the past. My grandfather T.Chowdaiah reached the pinnacle playing violin he remembered. Pointing to his fans Ambarish said they have given him everything – the love and affection to reach to this spot. I did not expect anything. It came to me Ambarish said. He disagreed with his detractors that he has not much to do in the union cabinet. I would search for doing good things and I have taken this task as a challenge he reacted'.

Ambi is my breath. He has been my friend for the last 35 years. I am happy and it is as if I have got the position said Dr.Vishnuvardhana on this occasion for thunderous applaud.
