Strike in Kollywood again?

Looks like there is no end to the tussle between producers and workers, at least in the near future. On Tuesday, representatives of Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) failed to turn up to talks scheduled with office bearers of Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI).
Following this, FEFSI managers said they were forced to take some tough decisions, including announcing an indefinite strike. When we were trying to solve the issues amicably, producers were not ready for it, they alleged.
Recently, the Producers Council announced that it would set up a new association for workers. The TFPC issued a directive to its members that they should rope in members of the new organization alone, after May 2.
The concern of workers is that they are not paid fair wages by producers. However, the TFPC says that it is ready to fix new wages, but not to the extent demanded by the FEFSI.
