The Tamil Film Producers Council has upped the ante in its ongoing strike against the Digital Service Provider (Qube). From Marh 16th there all production and post production work of Tamil films will be halted indefinitely.

Since March 1, 2017 there were no new releases in theaters across Tamil Nadu due to the strike announced by TFPC. A similar strike for the same reason was also held in Kerala, AP and Telanagan but at those states the strike has been apaprently withdrawn as the talks with the DSP' were successful.

But here the TFPC is not willing to accept the rate cut offered by the DSP and hence they have taken the strike to the next step. Council President Vishal has claimed the the FEFSI also supports the strike.
