Strict social distancing in Ayodhya as Modi arrives

Narendra Modi on Wednesday arrived in Ayodhya for the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the RamTemple. The Prime Minister was received by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

A few pics released by the news agency ANI show that social distancing norms have been strictly followed at the airport. Circles were drawn and everyone was seen standing there as Modi climbed down from the plane. Before the actual ceremony, Modi will be visiting the centuries-old Hanuman Garhi Temple, whose premises were sanitised earlier on Wednesday.

Starting from there, dignitaries like Modi and Yogi will be strictly protected from physical contact by others during the whole day.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh supremo Mohan Bhagwat, too, is in Ayodhya for the Bhoomi Poojan.
