With its esteemed 'All-Time Blockbuster' rating and eighth Bollywood film to reach this mark, "Stree 2" has been generating waves at the box office. The horror-comedy has exceeded the whole India collection of "Baahubali: The Beginning" (₹421 crore) hitting an amazing ₹424 crore net as of its 14th day. But on its second Wednesday, with ₹9.25 crore nett, the movie experienced its lowest single-day gross according to trade website Sacnilk.
Under direction by Amar Kaushik, "Stree 2" has enthralled viewers with its interesting material, bringing families—including children—back to theatres. Already shattering multiple records, the movie is looking at the lifetime revenues of "Animal" (₹553.87 crore), "Pathaan" (₹543.09 crore), and "Gadar 2" (₹ 525.7 crore).
With Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor fronting, "Stree 2" is expected to eclipse India's ₹500 crore nett mark by the conclusion of its third weekend. If it does, it will be the ninth overall and the fifth Bollywood movie to join this elite club including South Indian productions. Topping the lifetime collection of "Jawan," which ranks as the highest-grossing Bollywood film with ₹640.25 crore nett domestically, will present the ultimate hurdle for "Stree 2."
"Stree 2" is destined for ongoing success at the box office given its present pace; should future September releases not interfere with its run, it could just meet its ambitious aim.
